FAQ

Rope Access Singapore FAQ — Qualifications, Permits, Scaffold and Pricing

Common questions about our rope access services in Singapore — IRATA training, permits to work, scaffold alternatives, warranty and scheduling.

Are your rope access teams certified?

Where rope access certification is required, we assign personnel holding relevant IRATA training (Level 1 to Level 3) and verify certificate, level and expiry per project. Some projects may reference IATRAS or other rope access training pathways — we verify the issuing body and scope of competency before assignment.

Do you do scaffold work as well as rope access?

Yes. We treat rope access, scaffold, gondola and MEWP as different tools and pick the one suited to the building, scope and access route. Scaffold-related works follow the relevant approved scaffold contractor and supervisor arrangements.

Do you provide the permit-to-work?

Permit-to-work for hazardous work at height is issued by the workplace occupier or their authorised manager. We complete our portion of the documentation, attend the permit briefing and sign on as the contractor performing the work.

What is a fall prevention plan?

A fall prevention plan is a site-specific written plan covering responsibilities, risk assessment, control measures, equipment, PPE, inspection, training, emergency response and rescue. We prepare one for each project and share it with the building's safety personnel.

Can you work around occupied units?

Yes for most external works, subject to a drop-zone control plan, hours agreed with the management corporation, and consideration of weather, noise and odour.

Do you offer warranty?

Warranty terms depend on the materials used, substrate condition and access. We confirm warranty wording in the proposal.

How quickly can you start?

Mobilisation depends on documentation. After a survey we usually need a window for permit-to-work and equipment scheduling. Short, focused works often start within one to two weeks; complex scopes need more lead time.

Do you serve landed properties as well as condominiums and commercial buildings?

Yes — we cover landed property R&R works, condominium and HDB-style residential blocks where access permits, and commercial and industrial facades.
